To help you find a compatible life partner, we collect the following categories of information:

• Profile Information: Name, date of birth, gender, marital status, community, sub-caste, gotra, mother tongue, education, profession, income range, height, diet, complexion, and other biodata details you choose to share.
• Contact Details: Mobile number, email address, residential city/state, and, where provided, family contact information.
• Photographs & Media: Profile photos, family photos, and any videos you upload for verification or display on your profile.
• Kundali & Birth Details: Date of birth, time of birth, place of birth, nakshatra, and rashi, which you may voluntarily provide for our Kundali compatibility matching feature.
• Identity Verification Data:Government ID documents (such as Aadhaar, PAN, passport, or driving licence) submitted voluntarily for the "Verified Profile" badge.
• Payment Information: Billing details and transaction records for Gold and Platinum subscriptions, processed securely through our payment gateway partners (we do not store full card numbers).
• Usage & Browsing Behaviour: Pages visited, profiles viewed, search filters used, interests sent/received, messages exchanged with matches, device type, IP address, browser type, and approximate location (derived from IP).
• Communications: Any correspondence with our support team, feedback, or reviews you submit.

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• To create, display, and maintain your matrimonial profile.
• To generate match recommendations based on your preferences and compatibility, including Kundali (Ashtakoota) matching.
• To verify your identity and reduce fake or fraudulent profiles.
• To facilitate communication (interests, messages) between you and prospective matches you choose to engage with.
• To process subscription payments, renewals, and provide receipts.
• To send important notifications such as new match alerts, messages, account activity, and service updates via SMS, email, WhatsApp, or push notifications.

• To detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, spam, harassment, and violations of our Terms of Service.
• To comply with applicable laws, regulations, and lawful requests from government or law enforcement authorities.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to advertisers or unrelated third parties. Your data is shared only in the following limited circumstances:

• With Other Members: Your profile (excluding sensitive contact details unless you have a Gold/Platinum subscription and have mutually expressed interest) is visible to other registered members as part of the core matchmaking service.
• Service Providers: We engage trusted third parties for payment processing (e.g., Razorpay), SMS/email delivery, cloud hosting, and analytics. These providers are contractually bound to use your data only for the services they perform for us.
• Relationship Managers: Platinum members may share additional details with their assigned Relationship Manager solely to assist in the matchmaking process.
• Legal & Safety: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government request, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our members and Platform.
• Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, member information may be transferred, subject to the same privacy protections described in this policy.

BrahmanRishta is a matrimonial platform intended strictly for individuals who meet the legal marriageable age in India — 21 years for men and 18 years for women. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone below 18 years of age. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal data from a minor, we will take prompt steps to delete such information and deactivate the associated account.

This Privacy Policy is designed to comply with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, as well as the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act") of India.
